#Dontjudgemygenotype

September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month & I wanted to do my part to bring awareness to this disease. As some of you may know I have Sickle Cell Anaemia. I have had it since birth. My blood genotype is SS. A few ladies and I decided to create the #dontjudgemygenotype challenge where we all created a 15 second video clip (compatible with Instagram) showing us all in the best and worse of our disease.
I hope these clips help you with your insight and understanding of Sickle Cell Anaemia

Breaking All The Rules

I never comform to the pressures the fashion world. I never like to let rules dictate my expression of personality. I know that there are rules of fashion and trends, but I don't want to be ties down and let trends dictate how I would express myself. Neither should you. On this day I just felt like doubling up on my denim. To be honest its because I had just bought this new denim shirt and felt riskay... lol.

But on a real note... do not let trends and fashion tell you how to dress. Wear what the hell YOU like!!

African Twist

I love to incorporate my colture into my fashion. It's another way to stay true to who I am. Not only that but to be honest I love African print. I love embracing my Motherland Ghana. Here I loved putting the look together in such a layer back way. Lovely for running errands and a day out in London. NOT EVERYDAY HEELS.

OOTD Ft Stella & Dot

As you may know by now. I love simplicity in clothing. I enjoy expressing style of fashion in a very quiet but still loud way. I know... you may be thinking well girl you just don't make sense.
Well let me explain... I love pairing the simplest of items and at times having a pop of colour in the mix. just as I have demonstrated in this outfit of the day.

I attended a Stella & Dot product party and was blown away by this little clutch/purse/phone holder. I knew I had to have it. To be honest, at first all I wanted was a black, cream or white version and once I discovered it never came in those colours I was still happy that I could have such a great piece in a good colour such as red to sproose up my OOTD's.

I am now working closely with a Stella & Dot representitive to bring you all great content.

Just wait and see :)

In the mean time, Please check out my related video below:

All About the Jump

You may have known by now that I love my Jump suits by now. And this one is no exception. I paired this Jumpsuit from Missguided with an old leather jacket that I purchased from eBay (similar), my Chanel bag and shoes from Lolashoetique. Currently I am obsessed with Missguided... I just can't get enough.

Anyway... Life is "All About the Jump" It's so important to go after your dreams. Never letting anyone hold you back is one of the most values aspects in life. I personally believe it is a skill to be able to distance yourself from the people who do not wish you well. As you will never know who they are at times. The best way I am able to suss out those weeds in my circle is by judging my own character around people. If I find that I am always negative and down around certain people/crowds, then thats your indication/clue right there. Start surrounding yourself with people who will uplift you and encourage you to go for and achieve your dreams.

Take that Jump!!!
xoxo

Morning & Evening Skincare Routine

I always get asked: Stacey, what do you do to keep your skin so clear? What products do you use? Have you ever had spots?
The questions are endless so I decided to compile a morning and evening skin care routine to answer questions which are unanswered. If you have more questions, definitely leave them below and I will be sure to make more videos pertaining to them.

Natural Hair Updo

Hello my Lovelies,

I had uploaded this video on my Natural Hair Updo to my Youtube Channel. Hope you enjoy :)

Stella & Dot

I attended a Stella & Dot product party the other day, and I must say I loved all the pieces that were on show. I was so obsessed with the bracelets. I don't know if anyone has noticed but I am kind of boring when it comes to jewellery. I just wear the same old stuff. It may be just because I stick to what I know (watch, studs, the occasional chain).
I also saw a beautiful clutch/purse which I could not leave until I had purchased. Have a look at the pictures below.
NOTE: All pictures where taken on my iPhone 6.

My 3 Month Verdict

So I have been subscribed to both the Glossybox and Birchbox for the past 3 months and I will have to say I have loved receiving little package sent* to me every month. Of course I love beauty products and love trying new things and therefore I see it as a treat every time. Like explained in my youtube video, (will be linked below)I feel that the Birchbox concentrates on more medium to higher end product samples. Where as the Glossybox focuses on lower to mid range prices. I must say I loovvee the Glossybox packaging. I feel like they really take their time with it and their box is zoo sturdy and I have kept all the boxes.

What I didn't like about both companies is that when you sign up to the subscription service, the want you to fill out a questionnaire which will allow them to cater your box to you. However it didn't seem like any of the companies listened. which really frustrated me. Every month so far seems to be almost identical.

I really like how Birchbox introduces me to new brands every month. Well established and up and coming.

I still thing that the price point of both boxes are really good and therefore are worth the price. But... Are they worth the hype? Probably not but hay... each one to her own.

Comfort = Not Everyday Heals

As much as I love to keep my heals high, I love to be comfortable also. To be perfectly honest with you, I am in trainers 5 days a week due to the nature of my job. So generally on the weekends I love to get completely dolled up. Yes... This includes heals.

But, there is something sexy about a women who is still able to get dolled up without the need of heals. I strive for comfort too. And since I purchased my Nike Thea's (shown in my newest haul) I have been obsessed with comfort and trying to match all my outfits to fit with the trainers.
I know.... a bit much right?!?

I can't help it.... They are beauts :)

May 2015 Glossybox Review

Hey guys!!

So this months Glossybox has done nothing but impress me. I think Mostly because we git 4 out of 5 full sized products this month. I also have to say that I absolutely love and respect the way Glossybox take the time out to make their packaging amazing.

Have a look at what I received in this months box:

Collection Cosmetics Field Day Lipstick – Full Size RRP £2.99

Although I love this months Glossybox, I would have to say that this was my least favourite product received. Not because I do not like it, but because I cannot find a use for it. Its a beautiful colour but it is just not for me or my skin tone.

SASS Intimate Perfect Skin Concentrate –  Sample Size 30

This was the only sample sized product in this months box which I do mot mind. I am happy to try it out. perfect for used after that all important bikini wax.

Zerreau Towel Off Shampoo Foam – Full Size 70ml £7.95

Now out of all the contents in this box, this product is the one Im most excited to try out. Its the concept that really excites me. Its a hair shampoo foam which you just have to towel dry. no water needed. Now that exciting!!

MeMeMe Enchanted Eyes Dual Ended Eye Wand  – Full Size RRP £6.95

Makeup looks will be more fun with this double sided want. I already have planned tutorials to film using this. I want to also do a live review (filmed) on how I think this works. Particularly because I have never heard of this brand before.

Etre Belle Aloe Vera Ultra Moisturising Gel – Full Size 40ml RRP £15.93

Now this is the only thing I have tried out of this months box and I must say, I am Loving it so far. I have never ever used a gel facial moisturiser before and now I am a convert. Love!!

More information on Glossybox:

The Price of the Box monthly is £10.00 Plus £3.25 P&P
Number of Products in the Box – 5 items
Total value of contents in the box around £33.82
